A special congratulation goes to Bihani Social Venture, the winner of “COVID-19 Response Fund 2020″
After much deliberation, and the daunting task of reviewing more than 4500 submissions, representing 120 different countries, Bihani Social Venture, from Nepal is selected as a winner.
Bihani Social Venture is a social enterprise working in the field of aging established with the aim to address the issues of loneliness, dependency, and loss of confidence due to retirement, relocation, health status, or family member’s migration or busy lifestyle.
During this pandemic, Bihani is promoting the digital inclusion of elders in various ways by providing sessions on COVID awareness, topics of interest, and use of interventions to make sure they do not feel isolated or become vulnerable to abuse or health issues. They are developing a mobile app that will benefit elders and their families including professionals working with them by providing access to Bihani’s services, resources including information regarding government policies for senior citizens and relevant service providers/ Organisation’s information.
