Call for Proposals by UNHCR: Digital Inclusion

UNHCR Innovation Service is happy to announce the continuation of its Digital Inclusion Call for Proposals that provides targeted financial support to country operations interested in tackling specific challenges relating to Digital Inclusion in 2021. This will depend on the specific challenge but generally, UNHCR will provide up to USD 50,000 and ensure that a number of different country operations can benefit from the available support. If further resources are required, joint fundraising can take place to support projects with a larger scope.

UNDP Youth Co: Lab Innovation Challenge

Youth Co: Lab, co-created in 2017 by UNDP Asia and the Pacific and Citi Foundation is a multi-dimensional and multi-level response to tackle the challenges young people face by positioning youth front and center to find solutions to today’s most pressing problems. Youth Co: Lab aims to establish a common agenda for Asia-Pacific countries to invest in and empower youth to accelerate the implementation of the SDGs through leadership, social innovation, and entrepreneurship. The Youth Co: Lab Regional Summit provides young entrepreneurs with mentors, networking opportunities, and access to learning and acceleration opportunities.

USAID Development Innovation Ventures

USAID Development Innovation Ventures (DIV) sources call for proposals for developing innovations that improve the lives of people living in poverty in the developing world. It provides tiered funding to pilot, test, and transition to scale those innovations that demonstrate evidence of impact, cost-effectiveness, and the potential to scale. DIV may consider a Stage 3 grant of up to $5 million.

Call for Applications: UNOSSC Youth4South & LCGEB Empower Fellowship

The United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) under its Youth4South initiative and the ICGEB have partnered to offer early-career female scientists from the Global South, aged 45 or under, exchange visits of 6-months at the ICGEB laboratories in New Delhi (India) and Cape Town (South Africa) or at other institutions based in an eligible ICGEB Member State*, to perform research work on biotechnology and related fields, including Health (Infectious Diseases and Non-Communicable Diseases), Sustainable and Effective Agriculture, Industrial Biotechnology and Renewable Energy. The program offers a fellowship.
