Global AI Safety Fellowship

The Global AI Safety Fellowship by Impact Academy is a fully funded research program designed for exceptional STEM talent to contribute to AI safety research. The fellowship offers the opportunity to work with leading AI safety organizations like UC Berkeley’s Center for Human Compatible AI, Conjecture, FAR.AI, and the UK AI Safety Institute (AISI). Fellows will engage in full-time AI safety research for up to 6 months, with comprehensive financial support covering living expenses and research costs. Applicants will undergo a rigorous selection process, lasting 4 to 6 weeks, and successful candidates will receive mentorship, coaching calls, and access to a global network of AI safety researchers. The program is open to candidates worldwide, including those from regions underrepresented in AI safety research. However, applicants must be at least 18 years old by January 2025.
