Virchow Prize
The Virchow Prize honors significant contributions towards “health for all” in global health through groundbreaking research, innovations, achievements, and long-standing engagement. Open for nominations from October 12, 2024, to February 28, 2025, the prize recognizes individuals, institutions, or organizations that have made outstanding contributions in various fields. The focus is on improving global health, advancing the United Nations 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals, implementing health-improving innovations, and promoting global cooperation. Nominations must be submitted by qualified nominators such as national government members, heads of international organizations, and laureates of prestigious prizes. Up to three laureates will be selected each year.
