- First-time Launch: Preference is given to companies introducing a product or business aspect for the first time through the competition.
- Under-the-radar Companies: Companies in closed beta, private beta, limited release, or those generally unnoticed are eligible.
- Hardware Companies: Those that have completed crowdfunding for an earlier product prototype are eligible.
- Existing Companies: Those launching new features are not eligible.
