John Ruffatto Startup Challenge
Application is open for John Ruffatto Startup Challenge. Since 1989, the University of Montana College of Business has been organizing the John Ruffatto Startup Challenge, which is a hands-on learning event held annually. Furthermore, it is considered as the leading platform in Montana where students from chosen colleges and universities can showcase innovative business and social entrepreneurship ideas for evaluation. Additionally, the UM College of Business manages the Startup Challenge.
Eligibility
This competition is designed for students to:
- Take an idea to the next level.
- Connect to mentors and investors.
- Also Win initial funding money (in the thousands) without investment.
Benefits
- Entrance to the live finals of the John Ruffatto Startup Challenge is free and open to everyone
- $50,000 for four finalists.
- The doors open at 4:30 pm and attendees will be served with light appetizers and drinks
- Also, students can attend the live event for free!

Application Process
The event will take place in room 106 of the Gallagher Business Building located on the University of Montana campus from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Furthermore, to reserve a seat, RSVP on the LinkedIn Event Page. Admission is free and the live public final is open to the public.
