Young Entrepreneurs 2022

  • Venue: Oslo and Trondheim, Norway
  • Training Provider: Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce

The Young Entrepreneurs Program is a business-educational program that aims to bring together ambitious business-minded Norwegians and Ukrainians with one thing in common: the interest in learning more about the Ukrainian and Norwegian markets and their passion for entrepreneurship and international business.

This year will be a special year for our Young Entrepreneurs. The war in Ukraine makes it impossible to conduct the program in a familiar format, where 4 groups work on business ideas while spending some time both in Norway and Ukraine. In 2022 we will have 5 groups working on market analysis while visiting four different cities in Norway: Oslo, Stavanger, Trondheim, and Bodø!

Overarching goals:

  • Exchange of Norwegian-Ukrainian knowledge and competence
  • Research on the current status of Norwegian and Ukrainian markets identifying business opportunities
  • Contribution to the development of international economy and democracy
  • Building a cross-border network between entrepreneurs, businesses, and university professors from Norway and Ukraine
  • Facilitation of cross-border business partnerships

Eligibility

They are looking for 20 participants from Norway and Ukraine eager to work on market analysis in the following sectors:

  • Energy for the future
  • Manufacturing
  • Food and drinks
  • AgriTech
  • Smart City

The program has two parts:

  • The first part in Oslo and Stavanger: August 28 – September 2
  • The second part in Trondheim and Bodø: October 24 – 29

Even though the program’s format will be slightly different from the previous years, we will make sure that the participants can get first-hand guidance on creating and doing business between Norway and Ukraine. The groups will work on the current status of both markets, trying to identify opportunities for business in this new reality.

They will visit many relevant Norwegian companies throughout the program and meet with authorities and NGOs. As a participant, you will learn how to research a market, what’s the current status of doing business between Norway and Ukraine in different sectors, as well as how to grow businesses in war-affected countries, and how ESG is important for bilateral cooperation.

Benefits

It is not all about research and business. Joining the program as a participant increases your intercultural understanding and makes friends for life. Through their Alumni network, you will meet the participants from the previous editions of Young Entrepreneurs.
