Wavelength’s WAVE Grant Program

Apply before: November 1, 2024

The WAVE Grant supports emerging female and gender non-conforming BIPOC filmmakers by providing a $5,000 seed grant for their first short film. Each year, five recipients receive mentorship in development, production, post-production, and festival strategy. Additionally, all applicants can join a free workshop series on crowdfunding, pitching, budgeting, and distribution. The program aims to help filmmakers tell their unique stories and succeed in the film industry.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the Wavelength’s WAVE Grant Program are:

Applicants must be BIPOC, identify as female or gender non-conforming, and be based in the United States.
The project must be the applicant’s scripted directorial debut, with production completed within 2025.
Applicants must own the copyright and have budgetary and editorial control over their production.
