Sustainable Cities Challenge

Apply before: September 30, 2024

The City of Venice seeks innovative solutions to increase the use of low and zero-carbon transport modes. They offer grants and support to develop these solutions, focusing on behavior change. Venice has invested in sustainable mobility options, but they are underutilized. The challenge is open to global innovators who can tailor solutions for Venice, with funding provided for implementation.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for Sustainable Cities Challenge are:

Solutions must be tailored for and implemented in Venice.
Entrants can be single organizations or consortia, with a lead entrant.
Entrants must be legally incorporated and able to travel to Venice.

Benefits

The benefits of the Sustainable Cities Challenge are:

Up to ten $50,000 grants for semi-finalists and up to five $130,000 grants for finalists.
$1.5 million final funding shared among up to three winners.
Opportunities to engage with city officers, stakeholders, and access to a network of innovators.
