SBRI: Future Telecommunications Challenge
The SBRI: Future Telecommunications Challenge is currently open for applications. This competition, funded by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) and Innovate UK, is part of the Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI).
Recognizing the importance of expanding the UK’s capabilities and market offerings in the field of Future Telecommunications, which encompasses cutting-edge technologies like 6G, this competition has been launched in alignment with the latest science and technology framework. The primary goal of this competition is to stimulate progress in telecommunications technologies that can be incorporated into practical prototypes and complete system solutions.
The Art of Event Staffing Scheduling and Logistics
Eligibility
- Projects should commence no later than March 1, 2024, and conclude by March 31, 2025, lasting anywhere from 6 to 13 months.
- Leading a project is open to organizations of any size, whether working independently or in collaboration with businesses, research institutions, technology organizations, or third-sector entities as subcontractors.
- This competition will not support any activities related to procurement, commercial ventures, business development, or supply chain involvement with Russian or Belarusian entities, which includes sourcing goods or services from Russia or Belarus.
- The responsibility for entering project costs and answering project impact questions in the application lies with the applicant.
- Contracts will be granted to a single legal entity exclusively. However, if there’s a valid justification for subcontracting specific components of the work, specialists or advisors can be engaged. The primary contractor remains accountable for the project and meeting project milestones.
- All research, development, and testing activities must occur within the United Kingdom.
Benefits
- A sum of £28 million, which includes VAT, has been designated for this competition.
- The competition will result in the awarding of up to 20 contracts to organizations, with each contract being eligible for up to £7 million, including VAT.
