The Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program aims to support initiatives that align with broader diplomatic and development goals. The Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program serves as a valuable resource for those seeking funding to implement projects, initiatives, or activities that align with the goals and priorities of the U.S. Embassy in Barbados.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the grant, your project must be:

  • Proposals should address PAS Bridgetown’s stated goals, objectives, target audiences, and geographic locations.

The following organizations are generally eligible to apply for funding:

  • Government Organizations
  • Education Organizations
  • Public Housing Organizations
  • Nonprofit Organizations
  • For-Profit Organizations
  • Small Businesses
  • Individuals



Benefits

PAS Bridgetown invites proposals for programs that strengthen ties between the U.S., Barbados, and the Eastern Caribbean through cultural, educational, business, and scientific programming that highlights shared values and promotes bilateral cooperation. All programs must include an American cultural element or connection with American experts, organizations, or institutions in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy and priorities.

Examples of PAS Small Grants Program programs include, but are not limited to:

  • Academic and professional lectures, seminars and speaker programs;
  • Artistic and cultural workshops, joint performances and exhibitions;
  • Cultural heritage conservation and preservation programs;
  • Professional and academic exchanges and programs;

Application Process

Please ensure:

  • The proposal clearly addresses the goals and objectives of this funding opportunity
  • All documents are in English
  • All budgets are in U.S. dollars
  • All pages are numbered
  • All documents are formatted to 8 ½ x 11 paper, and
  • All Microsoft Word documents are in single-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font with a minimum of 1-inch margins.
