Pepco Energizing Small Business Grant Program

Pepco, in partnership with Hello Alice, offers the Energizing Small Business Grant Program to support economic development in northeast Washington, D.C. They provide eight grants totaling nearly $600,000 to increase access to fresh, healthy, and affordable food. Each selected business receives $74,000. This initiative aims to strengthen the local food economy and create a more equitable food system.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the Pepco Energizing Small Business Grant Program are:

The business must be for-profit, licensed, and registered in the District of Columbia.
It must use funds to expand or relocate services providing equitable access to fresh, healthy, and affordable food in specified neighborhoods.
The business must be in the food or food service industry and operational for two years before applying
