Open call for Tadamon Grants Program
The Tadamon Grants Program is currently accepting applications, inviting dynamic and visionary Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) committed to sustainable development in hard-to-reach communities. This initiative, part of the IsDB-ISFD NGOs Empowerment for Poverty Reduction Program funded by the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD) and managed by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), aims to support CSOs in expanding and enhancing their activities.
The goal is to encourage collaboration, innovation, and knowledge-sharing among stakeholders, empowering local CSOs in their mission to combat poverty, promote sustainable development, and enhance the socio-economic well-being of marginalized communities. Tadamon is committed to creating a lasting impact through initiatives such as education, livelihood income generation, vocational skills, employment, and community resilience. Organizations are encouraged to apply for the Tadamon Grant to elevate their efforts and contribute to positive change.
ChangeMakers Seed Funding Contest 2024
Eligibility
- The ideal candidate for their organization’s initiatives should possess a proven track record in successfully implementing development-humanitarian projects, emphasizing sustainability, inclusiveness, and community resilience.
- Additionally, they must be officially registered in the countries where they operate, with the registration document uploaded on the Tadamon platform.
- Moreover, candidates should have actively participated in the Tadamon Capacity Strengthening Portal, having completed at least one course.
- Their experience should span a minimum of three years in project delivery, and they should be based in one of the specified OIC Member Countries, namely Burkina Faso, Comoros, Iraq, Jordan, Niger, Pakistan, State of Palestine, Somalia, or Yemen.
- Applicants are expected to present a proposal that is innovative, transformative, and scalable, introducing novel approaches to address critical challenges in areas related to education promotion and community resilience.
- These areas include refugees/IDPs and orphans, women, youth, people with disabilities, basic education, unemployment, vocational training, skills development, and empowering vulnerable communities through income-generating activities.
- Furthermore, candidates should be capable of demonstrating their achievements to date, adhere to good corporate governance and financial management practices, and exhibit the ability to provide matching funds or a co-financing ratio of 1:1 or more.
- A concrete activity plan and a detailed budget breakdown for the requested funding should also be included in their proposal.
Benefits
- An estimated allocation of $120,000 is earmarked for each eligible country, namely Burkina Faso, Comoros, Iraq, Jordan, Niger, Pakistan, the State of Palestine, Somalia, and Yemen. Each country will have one successful applicant, receiving a prize of up to US$120,000.
- The Tadamon program will implement a three-step process to ensure the establishment of sustainable financing mechanisms:
- Provide the allocated funding to the selected organizations in each country.
- Collaborate with local Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to maximize the impact of the grant by engaging with International NGOs, donors, and other partners capable of mobilizing matching funds.
- Assist local CSOs in showcasing their selected projects on TADAMON, facilitating access to additional innovative funding sources, such as the Tadamon Crowdfunding Academy.
