On-Farm Drought Infrastructure Grants Program

The Victorian Government’s On-Farm Drought Infrastructure Grants program offers grants of up to $5,000 (excluding GST) to primary production businesses for implementing on-farm infrastructure that improves drought management and preparedness. The grant covers activities such as constructing or upgrading Stock Containment Areas, reticulated water systems, irrigation system upgrades, grain and fodder storage, internal re-fencing, and feed system upgrades. Eligible businesses must provide dollar-for-dollar matching funding. The program is open until funds are fully allocated. Applications are assessed by Rural Finance, and upon approval, businesses have three months to purchase the infrastructure, after which they can be reimbursed for 50% of the total cost. The program covers specific Local Government Areas in Victoria, Australia.
