The focus is on enhancing political commitment, accountability, and improving monitoring and evaluation practices in the health sector. The initiative works to create comprehensive action plans for health security, strengthen multi-sectoral coordination, and optimize preparedness for infectious diseases and zoonoses. The program prioritizes health security over endemic diseases.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the Global Health Security are:

Applicants must be local organizations, as per the set-aside conditions.
The program is specifically targeted at organizations based in the Philippines.
The applicant must demonstrate the ability to address emerging health issues through a collaborative approach.
