The Mastercard Foundation Fund for Resilience and Prosperity is a seven-year, $126 million fund aimed at supporting Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in 20 countries across Sub-Saharan Africa. The fund focuses on three key sectors: agriculture, climate impact, and digital economy. Its main objective is to unlock enterprise growth and create dignified work opportunities for young women and men, young people with disabilities, and refugee youth. The fund addresses SME-specific challenges and macro issues through four interventions: Challenge Fund, Connect, Technical Assistance, and Convening and Influencing. SMEs can apply to competitive challenges or calls for proposals to participate in the fund. The Mastercard Foundation collaborates with KPMG Development Services Limited and Triple Line Consulting to implement this program.
