European Data Space for Smart Communities

The European Data Space for Smart Communities (DS4SSCC-DEP) project, opening on 1 September 2024, offers €15.3 million in funding for 12-18 month pilot projects. Local public administrations in the EU and DEP-associated countries can apply. The project aims to advance data spaces for smart communities, supporting green-digital transformation. Applications undergo a thorough evaluation process, and successful projects receive funding in installments. The deadline for the second submission round is 30 November 2024

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the European Data Space for Smart Communities are:

Consortia must include at least two local or regional public administrations from different EU member states or DEP-associated countries.
Entities must not be controlled by ineligible countries; if at risk, they must provide a guarantee.
Applicants must co-finance at least 50% of the pilot activity.
