The European Cooperation Projects aim to support organisations in the cultural and creative sectors from various countries to collaborate on innovative and cross-sectoral activities. Projects should highlight cross-border cooperation, aligned with the priorities of the Creative Europe Programme, such as greening, inclusion, gender equality, digital transition, and international relations. Small-scale projects, suitable for grassroots organisations, require a consortium of at least three entities from three eligible countries and may receive up to €200,000 in funding, covering 80% of eligible costs. The programme focuses on two objectives: enhancing the transnational creation and circulation of European works and artists, and fostering innovation by building capacity, experimenting with new practices, and addressing societal challenges like audience engagement, climate change, and mental health.
