The Edmonton Edge Fund 2023 is designed to empower local community initiatives and projects that aim to enhance the livability, sustainability, and vibrancy of Edmonton. Edmonton Edge Fund 2023 provides financial support to organizations and individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on the city’s social, cultural, environmental, or economic landscape.

Eligibility

To be eligible for funding, applicants must

Be a registered business or non-profit organization that holds a mandate related to economic growth and development to be eligible for funding
Have a valid City business license or have plans to obtain one by the time of project completion.

Benefits

The City of Edmonton has allocated $5 million to the administration of Phase 1 of the Edmonton Edge Fund. Phase 1 of the program is designed to address a current gap in funding available to innovators and entrepreneurs operating in or entering the Edmonton market. Funding will be offered in the form of project-based grants through the following 2 streams:

Please note: Phase 1 of the program will only be offered in 2023. The offering of future phases will be contingent on direction from City Council.
