Dr. Hage Geingob Award for Women and Youth Entrepreneurs
The United States African Development Foundation (USADF) is inviting applications for the Dr. Hage Geingob Award for Women and Youth Entrepreneurs. This award honors the legacy of the late former President Dr. Hage Geingob by supporting women and youth-owned Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Namibia. The program aims to help MSMEs enhance their business processes and competitiveness. Eligible businesses can receive up to $50,000 in grant funding. To qualify, businesses must have been operational with functional management and financial controls for at least 2 years, used financial institutions for transactions over the last 12 months, paid all taxes on time, legally registered, and have fixed business premises. Additionally, businesses must be African-owned and not government-affiliated.
Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for the Dr. Hage Geingob Award for Women and Youth Entrepreneurs are:
- Privately-owned and registered in Namibia.
- Operated with functional management and financial controls for 2+ years.
- Used financial institutions for all transactions in the last 12 months.
- Paid all taxes on time.
- Legally registered with fixed premises.
- Invested at least $5,000 in the business.
- African-owned and managed.
- Not affiliated with government entities.
