The European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) call aims to improve scientific knowledge to support fisheries management decisions. The project should help enhance the science basis of the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) by addressing various themes such as better use of scientific data, improving cooperation between scientists and the fisheries sector, and assessing the impact of fisheries on marine ecosystems. Proposals must include measurable results and describe how they will contribute to fisheries management, particularly in the context of climate change and other emerging challenges. Projects should also promote collaboration between scientists and the fisheries industry and improve scientific data collection and management. The call focuses on developing new methodologies, improving models, expanding databases, and refining scientific advice formats.
