Call for Proposal for Micro & Small Businesses from UNDP Grants

The Women’s Economic Empowerment Through Advancing Women-Led Enterprises in Lebanon (WEE) project, funded by the Government of Canada and implemented by UNDP, supports women-led MSMEs in Lebanon to create jobs and boost economic opportunities during a challenging crisis. Lebanon’s current war and ongoing economic struggles have severely impacted businesses, with over 70% of enterprises at risk of closure without urgent financial help, according to a UNDP survey. To address this, the WEE project provides grants between $10,000 and $12,000 to micro and small businesses, especially those in agro-food, cosmetics, and creative industries. The funding helps these businesses sustain operations, retain jobs, innovate, and adopt energy-efficient practices. Priority is given to enterprises promoting women’s economic empowerment and environmental sustainability.
