Bringing Communities and Citizens Closer to Soil

Back to Earth: Bringing Communities and Citizens Closer to Soil aims at having a wide-reaching impact on practices in agriculture, forestry, the food sector, and other industries (e.g. biobased and waste) as well as on land use planning in rural and urban areas.
Eligibility
- Any legal entity regardless of its place of establishment, including legal entities from nonassociated third countries or international organizations (including international European research organisations4) is eligible to participate.
- Beneficiaries and affiliated entities must register in the Participant Register before submitting their application, in order to get a PIC.
To be eligible for funding, applicants must be established in one of the following countries:
- Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden
Benefits
Beneficiaries should provide financial support to third parties. Support to third parties can only be provided in the form of grants. The maximum amount to be granted to each third party is EUR 150 000.
- The Back to Earth: Bringing Communities and Citizens Closer to Soil challenge supports climate change mitigation and adaptation and soil structure influences water-retention capacity (Climate Adaptation Mission); targeted nutrient management will lead to improvements in water quality (Ocean and Waters Mission).
