Australia Day Awards

Application is open for the Australia Day Awards. The Australia Day Awards are celebrated annually in Bayside on 26 January. The Australia Day Environment Awards recognises the environmental excellence of individual Bayside residents or organisations that take leadership in the local community with an initiative, project, and/or activity. This award recognises those residents, schools, and businesses that aim to empower and inspire others, form partnerships, and show commitment and perseverance.

Eligibility

Bayside residents who have made a noteworthy contribution during the current year and/or given outstanding service to the local community over a number of years are eligible.

Selection categories: 

• Maintaining and restoring the City of Bayside’s natural assets
• Using natural resources wisely
• Reducing our everyday impacts
• Responding to climate change
• Living more sustainably in the home

Nominations close Friday, 9 December.

• Please supply a photo of the nominee where possible
• You may provide supporting documents that illustrate the benefits to the local community
