Amber Grants for Women Entrepreneurs

Amber Grants for Women Entrepreneurs began in 1998 to honor the memory of a young entrepreneurial woman —Amber Wigdahl —who died in 1981 at the age of 19. The purpose of the Amber Grants for Women Entrepreneurs is to help other women achieve the dreams that Amber could not in her short time with WomensNet. Each month an Amber Grant of $2,000, is awarded and one of their 12 monthly recipients receives an additional $25,000 Amber Grant. The grant is hosted by WomensNet which was created to help women achieve their dreams. They also offer free tips on how to get a grant, offer own monthly grant, and discuss encouraging stories of woman entrepreneurs just like you.

Eligibility

There isn’t one sector or industry that we focus on.

• Businesses operating in the US or  Canada are eligible for our grants.
• You must be 18 years or older to apply and receive a grant.

Benefits

• Each month an Amber Grant of $2,000, is awarded and one of their 12 monthly recipients receives an additional $25,000, Amber Grant

Application Process

• All applications should be submitted online
• Note* There is a standard $15 application fee payable via secure checkout. The fee makes the grant and operation of the site (including reviewing each application) possible
• The applicants are selected by the WomensNet Advisory Board, comprised of Christina Lambert, Kelsey Ptucha, and Marcia Layton-Turner.
