2024 Urban Future Prize Competition

Apply before: May 1, 2024

The Urban Future Lab is hosting the Urban Future Prize Competition for the eighth year. They are looking for the best climate tech startups. Two winners will get $50,000 and a spot in the ACRE Incubator. This year, they have a new prize track focused on climate adaptation and resilience, the Future Resilience Prize. This aims to highlight innovative solutions to the climate crisis and attract more investment. Other climatetech startups can apply for the general Future Solutions Prize. New York’s environment makes it a great place for these startups.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the 2024 Urban Future Prize Competition are:

Climatetech Focus: The startup must be focused on climatetech, offering innovative solutions to climate challenges.
Adaptation and Resilience: For the Future Resilience Prize, startups should focus on climate adaptation and resilience, addressing the adaptation side of the climate crisis.
General Climatetech: For the Future Solutions Prize, all other climatetech startups that may not necessarily focus on adaptation and resilience can apply.

The benefits of the 2024 Urban Future Prize Competition are:

Financial Support: Firstly, the competition offers a substantial cash prize of $50,000.
Incubator Membership: Secondly, winners gain acceptance and membership into New York City’s premier climatetech incubator, the ACRE Incubator.
Recognition and Opportunities: Lastly, the competition provides ecosystem recognition, media opportunities, and access to introductions to key partners in the public and private sectors.
