The Retail Readiness Entrepreneurship Training Program by Watson Institute supports underserved entrepreneurs in becoming retail-ready. Sponsored by Walmart, this 16-week competitive program aids 25 retail entrepreneurs who transform agricultural inputs into higher-value products. Participants receive essential training, a stipend for retail readiness certifications, mentorship, and access to a robust network. The program includes virtual workshops, localized events, and long-term alumni support to help entrepreneurs scale their ventures, create jobs, and positively impact their communities.
Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for Entrepreneurship Training Program are:
- Must be impact-driven entrepreneurs working in farming or creating value-added agricultural products.
- Should have proven products, traction, and revenue but not yet ready to scale.
- Must commit to the 16-week program, including a 2-week virtual immersive.
- Open to U.S.-based entrepreneurs from cities with high levels of wealth inequality.
