Tourbit (Co-founded by the COSME program of the European Union) is accepting proposals for Digital Acceleration Program for SMEs. The Digital Acceleration Program has the objective of assisting over 60 tourism Small or Medium Enterprise (SME) in their digital transformation efforts over a 10-month period. Furthermore, these SMEs will be able to apply for funding and receive support from a mentor, expert, and service provider to implement their proposed digital transformation projects. Additionally, they will be able to connect with an international network.
Eligibility
Applicants need to fulfill the following criteria:
Qualify as a Small or Medium Enterprise (SME), meaning having less than 250 staff and no more than 50 m in turnover or 43 m balance sheets total.
Belong to one of these categories of the tourism industry:
- Hotels and similar accommodation (NACE I5510)
- Holiday and other short-stay accommodation (NACE I5520)
- Camping grounds, recreational vehicle parks and trailer parks (NACE I5530)
- Travel agency, tour operator reservation service and related activities (NACE N79)
Be registered as company in one of the territories of the Tourbit partnership:
- Belgium
- Finland (Lapland)
- France
- Iceland
- Portugal
- Slovenia
- Spain (Catalonia)
The project need to relate one of several of these subjects:
- Digitalization, automatization or improvement of internal processes
- Digitalization, automatization or improvement of client relations and online presence
- Improvement of products or services using digital technologies
- Planning/ development/ establishment and implementation of (sustainable) digitalization strategies and action plans
- Moreover, the improvement of digital capacities of staff
- Also, investment in and implementation of digital tools and solutions
Benefits
If your application is accepted, you will be granted an amount ranging from EUR 8,000-9,000 to implement your digitalization project in your company. Additionally, the program does not charge any fee for participation.

Application Process
- Complete the Tourbit Digital Readiness Index (DRI) assessment for your company before submitting your project proposal.
- Register for free on the TourBIZZ community website and create your profile.
- Fill out the official application form template available on the online application system.
- Finally, submit your project proposal through the online application system
