Business Incubation Program

The Business Incubation Program, part of the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC), is currently accepting applications. This cutting-edge program aims to support transformative entrepreneurs with innovative solutions addressing climate change mitigation or adaptation. The program focuses on five key economic sectors: energy efficiency & renewable energy, solar power, climate-smart agriculture, domestic waste management, and water management and purification. Additionally, the program offers tailored support to larger SMEs seeking to enhance sustainability in their processes and operations.

How to Receive EU Funding for Your Innovation

Eligibility

  • To be eligible for consideration, businesses must have obtained legal registration and been actively operational in Ghana for a minimum of three years.
  •  Additionally, they should maintain no fewer than three (3) full-time employees and demonstrate a minimum annual gross revenue of GHC 450,000 over the last two fiscal years.
  • Eligible enterprises must operate within one of the five (5) specified sectors of the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC), which include Climate Smart Agriculture, Domestic Waste Management, Energy Efficiency, Water Management & Purification, and Solar Power.
  • Furthermore, businesses operating outside these specified sectors are welcome to apply if they express a commitment to incorporating environmentally sustainable practices into their operations.

Benefits

  • The benefits of participating in the program include a graduation ceremony at the end of the incubation period, during which entrepreneurs receive a certificate of participation.
